Rock the Decades – Update
On April 29th 2017 at the Cube in Corby, a special show was put on to help 2 charities, namely Prostaid and Lifelites.
Lifelites is one of the Provincial Grand Lodge charities for the year and on Wednesday June 14th at the Grand Lodge in London a cheque for £10,000 was handed over to the CEO of Lifelites by the Provincial Grand Master.
Here are a few photos from the event itself and also the Corby Masons who were present at the presentation.

Celebration of the Tercentenary – CMC Georgian Feast – More Photos added
A fantastic evening was held on Saturday 24th June to celebrate the Tercentenary of Freemasonry in the UK.
Many of the Corby Freemasons appeared in the style of that day in June 1717 when the Grand Lodge of England was formed.
The menu was created in the style of the period. Luckily Chef Gary was able to use the modern appliances to create the food.

Royal Arch Golf Day in St.Albans
A great day of golf was held at the Redbourn Golf Club, St Albans, Hertfordshire.
This is the annual event hosted by the Herts Royal Arch Masons.
This year the M.E.G.S. , Wayne Williams attended the day.
Corby can announce that we didn’t leave empty handed , with W Bro David Jackson winning the nearest to the pin and also the best visitor score of 35 points (*Stableford system)
- For those asking, Wikipedia states that Stableford is a scoring system used in the sport of golf. Rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, as in stroke play, it involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole.
A big thank you to Alex Henderson for providing the photos and information.

Friends Reunited……….as Brothers
School Friends – reunited as brothers
Geoff Taylor, Alan Brooks & Jim Spence attended the same Corby school back in the sixties, as it is well known Alan and Jim have been stalwarts of freemasonry in Corby for many years, both had lost touch with Geoff, until fate took a hand.

Geoff had a holiday in Madeira where he spotted a masonic ring on the hand of WBro Ben Ambler. Having seen the SKY 1 TV series ,which had piqued his interest, he then introduced himself and asked about Freemasonry.
Ben then extolled the virtues of the craft so much so, that Ben passed onto Geoff contact details for the Provincial office in order to understand how he went about joining Freemasonry in Corby.
Just a few months later all three school chums were re-united at Geoffs initiation into Ferraria Lodge #8489 .
One of the guests that night was no other than WBro Ben Ambler who had made a special trip from Somerset and gave a superb rendition of the charge after initiation to Geoff.
